Tale of the Three Jewels (1995): Michel Khleifi’s drama feature, the first shot in Gaza, is a rich tapestry of 12 year old Youssef’s childhood. We follow his attempts to align his vivid dreams, bird-hunting escapades in the woods, and emerging love life with his time in his refugee-camp-home, where he struggles to maintain contact with his imprisoned father and support his mother and sister.
