Stratford Hills (1954)

This great video from VDOT has an early pic of Stratford Hills:

In November 1954, new signs and pavement markings had just been installed to aid Chesterfield County commuters maneuvering through the unique intersection of routes 683 and 686.

This quiet area urbanized rapidly in the following decades and eventually became part of the city of #Richmond. Sixty-five years later, local residents know this location as the busy intersection of Forest Hill Avenue, Hathaway Road and Old Westham Road between the Gravel Hill and Stratford Hills shopping centers
