51% of all shoplifting in Richmond this year has been from ABC stores

Shoplifting in Richmond is up 15% for the first half of 2024 compared the same time period last year. The nutso part of this is that over half of all shoplifting was from ABC stores!
The city’s top location to hit is 1217 West Broad with 92 incidents. Locally, 6504 Hull Street Road and 618 W Southside Plaza were tied for 3rd at 54 incidents, with 521 Hull Street at 4th and 7036 Forest Hill Avenue at 5th with 53 and 48 incidents respectively. 3044 Stoney Point Road is 12th (and last) in the city with 1 incident.
