Man shot to death on Broad Rock Avenue

A man was shot to death early this morning on the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard.

This is the 11th homicide in South Richmond this year; last year at this time there had been 22.

From the RPD:

Shortly after midnight at approximately 12:41 a.m., officers were called to the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, down on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
