MOMENTS MAKE A PALACE by Rain Spann opens today at SCAG
“MOMENTS MAKE A PALACE” a solo exhibit by Rain Spann opening this First Friday at 2pm!
The exhibit will function as an immersive journey into Rain’s studio practice delving into a show of studies. This will be Rain’s final solo exhibit for the next year or so and we invite you to view the current and future directions of his creative process and practice.
“Moments Make a Palace surveys the many moments that create and sustain the connection held with family, friends, and most importantly ourselves. As we live and learn, these moments collectively form the foundation for our inner palace. Each experience, whether transformative or seemingly simple, contributes to the establishment, underpinning, and beauty of our inner world; thus, altering the outlook of our current journey. Healing and unlearning old ways of thinking are not linear paths. Oscillating between different states of understanding self and others is a natural process that produces dynamic clarity. This realization has brought me closer to a harder truth: impermanence. Nothing is set in stone, not even the idea I have of myself, and that’s actually okay.”
