Found this wonderful little car today on the way to check out the work at the in-progress Ernest Park.

1980 Comuta Car an Early Electric Vehicle! Perfect costume-car for anyone planning to dress up as cheese for Halloween. Neat little EV, essentially this is very much a street-legal golf cart with an exceptionally primitive motor controller. One of our guys had this working a few years ago but it’s sat a LONG time since then and the batteries are shot. Selling as-is Clear va title!

What’s bananas is that there is ANOTHER of these cars for sale in the area. This one runs so it’s $4,000:

First mass produced electric car in USA. Out of Florida. Originally had 48 volts power. Currently has 3 lithium 48 volt batteries. Street legal currently running as antique. Needs the rest of the systems wired to battery to get regular plates. Definitely a day maker/ parade winner/ modern city identity car. Basically the car you drew in kindergarten.. selling because I have too many toys.
