Man killed in robbery on Hull Street

A man has been killed in a shooting related to a robbery at a business on the 5700 block of Hull Street. This is the 18th killing in South Richmond this year; last year at this time there had been 30.

From the RPD:

Today at approximately 5:36 p.m., officers were called to the 5700 block of Hull Street Road for the report of a robbery that was upgraded to a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, inside a local business with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
