Man dead after Walmsley shooting on Wednesday
A man was shot on late Wednesday morning on the 3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard and dropped off at Chippenham Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
This is the 19th killing in South Richmond this year; last year at this time there had been 30.

Richmond Police detectives have identified the male who was transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle following a shooting on Wednesday.
At approximately 11:48 p.m., on Wednesday, December 18, officers were called to Chippenham Hospital after an unknown driver dropped off the male before leaving the area.
The male, John Kelson, Jr., 18, of Richmond, had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.
Detectives have determined the shooting occurred in the 3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard and are investigating.
