Nicole Jones appointed as interim 9th District City Council representative

Nicole Jones was appointed at Monday’s City Council meeting to replace Michael Jones, who was elected in November to represent the House of Delegates 77th District.
Ms.Jones will step down from her position as the 9th District’s School Board representative, which she has held since 2021. Both the 9th District City Council seat and the School Board seat will be on the ballot in November 2024.
