Looks like Coqui Cyclery is closed (UPDATED)
UPDATE 1/24/2024 6:25AM
The store at 3416 Semmes Ave. reopened at noon on Friday. It remained unclear this week what prompted owner Clint Kronenberger to shutter the store in December and go radio silent on customers who were waiting on bike purchases, repairs and other products.
UPDATE 1/5/2024 7:35AM
Coqui has released a statement on Facebook saying that they will re-open:
The store is still open. We will resume business in mid January. All customer product and bicycles are safe and will be returned to clients promptly upon reopening. We have served our community faithfully for 12 years and we wish to do so for years to come. Anyone who has been to our shop has always known that we are a passion based business and love what we do. The closing was unavoidable and unfortunate. We truly do apologize to our community of clients and friends for any stress or inconvenience that this 25 day business closure has caused.

Multiple customers report that Coqui Cyclery at 3416 Semmes Ave. has gone dark in recent weeks and ceased communications with them regarding service on bikes and orders made through the store. Coqui and its owner, Clint Kronenberger, also were sued last month by California-based bike-maker Giant Bicycles USA, which claims the Richmond shop owes it nearly $150,000 for unpaid goods.

TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!!! The owner of this business has stolen an expensive bike rim from me. Clint accepted 750 dollars from me for a dropper post, tires, and cassette upgrade from 11 to 12 speed. I didn’t hear from Clint until 17 days. He lied about calling and leaving me a message. I go to pick up the bike, the dropper post he ordered was wrong, he put a e bike chain on, and and 11 speed cassette… he also told me that my rim was cracked. So he’d give me a spare until a new rim came in. He told me five days for the dropper post and rim. It’s been ten days and he hasn’t returned any of the many calls.
