A busy stretch of Hull Street is slated to get a sidewalk and shared use path

Feb 12, 2024 | by

Work underway since 2019 towards making a busy stretch of Hull Street better for cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers could see fruition in 2026.

A 5 foot wide green space and 5 foot wide sidewalk will be installed along the east bound side of the road, and an 8 foot wide green space and 10 foot wide shared-use-path will run along the west bound side. For car traffic, the design has two 11 foot wide lanes in each direction, and a 15 foot wide median with left turn lanes.

The improvements will include curb and gutter and a drainage system to handle stormwater runoff.

The final plans for the project are due this month, with construction planned to being in August 2024 and run through August 2026.
