Man identified in Saturday’s fatal car accident

The Richmond Police have identified the man who died in a crash early Saturday morning after running a red light at West Commerce Road and Hull Street as Marcio Urbina-Banegas, 21, of the country of Honduras.

Just after 4AM on Saturday, Urbina-Banega was traveling east on Hull Street and struck a USPS truck that was traveling south on Commerce Road. Urbina-Banega’s vehicle left the roadway, struck a fire hydrant, and came to rest on its side. Urbina-Banegas succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
