Demolition underway at Fire Station 21

With an official groundbreaking for the new fire station a few weeks back and demolition now underway at the old building, the replacement Fire Station 21 is scheduled to be completed by December.

The new $15 million, state-of-the-art facility at 2505 Richmond Highway will rise on the same site as the previous 80 year-year-old building. There will be three bays for fire trucks and equipment and better living quarters for firefighters, including individual sleeping quarters, deco room and private restrooms/shower facilities. There will also be a community room for community activities and meetings.
