PH “Cruz” Sherman in for the School Board 8th District seat

PH “Cruz” Sherman, a chaplain with the Richmond Police Department, is going to announce soon for the School Board 8th District seat. He has previously worked in Blackwell as a youth crisis counselor and as a Special Education Instructor in Chesterfield Public Schools.

Sherman cites a desire to curb youth violence as motivation to run. “We need to develop solutions, and expand what we’re doing right,” he says. “I want to be a voice for students, parents, and teachers. We’re capable, we just need to bring everyone to the table.”

Sherman joins Emmett Johnson Jafari and incumbent Dawn Page in the contest for the seat.
