SOL scores for South Richmond schools

Here are the recently released SOL pass rates (PDF) for the RPS elementary, middle, and high schools this side of the river. You can find more scores for Richmond and the rest of the state here.
The chart shows the pass rate for a given subject for All Students and the pass rates for various specific sub-groups of students for the past 3 years.

So are these numbers saying in plain English that whatever the number is, that’s the percentage of students at that school that passed their SOL in that subject? So if there is the number 50 at English for Gh Reid elem, does that mean that 50% of the students at gh Reid passed their English sols? I mean, thank u 4 the raw data, but some analysis would have been nice.
