Treehaven Drive shooting identified as Arnaldo Melendez-Perez

Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the homicide on Treehaven Drive as Arnaldo Melendez-Perez, 43, of Richmond.

At approximately 8:55 p.m., September 1, officers were called to the 1600 block of Treehaven Drive for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found an adult male, Melendez-Perez, down on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
