Goats and sheep coming to Forest View Cemetery
Goats and sheep will be at Forest View Cemetery for a little while starting on Monday to help clear the underbrush.
From @forestviewcemeteryrva:
Goats and sheep are coming to the cemetery! They’ll arrive tomorrow morning at approximately 9am! Come say hello!
Please review the following safety precautions:
Call or text RVA Goats anytime day or night, with any concern: 804.822.0400
Keep dogs leashed while near the pen and stay a few feet away from the fence. This will allow the goats to work without fear or stress from barking or lunging dogs. It will also keep the dogs from getting shocked by the electric fencing.
Do not touch the fence. Caution sign is posted, yet children may not notice or be able to read the signs.
Do not feed the goats or sheep. DO NOT offer any plant material because many common landscape plants are toxic to them.
Do not pet the goats or sheep. The goats are friendly, however they can get their horns tangled in the fence vying for attention. It’s best to let them work.
Call 804.822.0400 with any concerns.
