Seeking volunteers for public art project at Alice Fitz Community Garden

The Alice Fitz Community Garden on Perry Street will be the site of a public art installation and can use your help:

Please come help be part of a public art installation at Alice Fitz community garden.

For the past year, the artist, Ellanor has been working on the installation of a shed and a shelter that aim to tell the story of the neighborhoods of Blackwell and Manchester. Ellanor is looking for stories in the form of photos, art, writing and objects that tell the story of this place over time. They will be installed in a wall of shadow boxes.

There is also hands-on help needed in finishing the benches, rain barrels and painting the mural. Please come to one or more of the following volunteer days:

– Monday the 9/30,
– Thursday the 10/3
– Monday the 10/7
– Thursday the 10/10
– Monday the 10/14

4-7 pm for all volunteer dates, no need to sign up just show up!
