Man arrested in Broad Rock murder earlier this month

Kelvin Eduardo Amaya Salamanca, 19, of Chesterfield, has been arrested in the murder of Walter Daniel Anariva earlier this month in 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard.

Suspect Charged in Broad Rock Boulevard Homicide Investigation

Following indictment by a grand jury, the suspect in the homicide of Walter Daniel Anariva Ramos, 26, of Richmond, that occurred last month on Broad Rock Boulevard has been charged.

Kelvin Eduardo Amaya Salamanca, 19, of Chesterfield, has been charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. His booking photo is unavailable at this time.

At approximately 12:41 a.m., Saturday, September 7, officers were called to the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, Anariva Ramos, down on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
