Man stabbed to death on Wythemar Street

A man was stabbed to death this afternoon on the 100 block of Wythemar Street.

This is the 20th killing in South Richmond this year; last year at this time there had been 30.

From the RPD:

At approximately 12:06 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Wythemar Street for the report of a person stabbed. Officers arrived and found an adult male down and injured with apparent stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Major Crimes detectives are investigating.
