Oak Grove Neighborhood Association starts meetings in February

Jan 23, 2025 | by

The Oak Grove Neighborhood Association will meet Tuesday, February 4, at 6PM at the Bellemeade Community Center.

It is worth noting that the city’s list of Civic Groups lists 2 active organizations for the Oak Grove neighborhood – the Oak Grove Neighborhood Association and the Oak Grove Civic Association.

The Oak Grove Neighborhood Association is online at @oakgroverva and can be reached by email at oakgroverva@gmail.com. The current president is Charles Snellings. The Oak Grove Civic Association can be reached by phone at (804) 232-2105. Their president is Barbara Starkey-Goode.

The city’s map of neighborhood civic organizations is mostly blank for South Richmond. As the on-the-ground grassroots voices for the citizens, the lack of organizations in the area is a missed opportunity.
