Great Backyard Bird Count meet-up at Fonticello Food Forest
Feminist Bird Club RVA is hosting meet-up for the Great Backyard Bird Count on Saturday 2/15 at Fonticello Food Forest:
For the 4th year in a row, we’ll count birds at @fonticellofoodforest during this global community science event – the Great Backyard Bird Count. Meet us on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 9am in Fonticello Park (formerly Carter Jones Park) on RVA’s Southside! Plan on birding for about an hour (join/leave whenever you need to), after an intro on why GBBC is important. We will keep track of every bird we see or hear for the count to report to @eBird.
Canβt make it? Participate from your own backyard/fave RVA park by using the @merlin.bird.id app or a field guide and reporting on eBird. To learn more go to birdcount.org
