One of the easiest ways to support Friends of the James River Park in the Spring is by participating in the Wood River Run. This is the annual 5k memorial race we host in memory of Christian Wood. Christian was a talented young kayaker who lost his life on the James River in 2018.
This year the Wood River Run is on April 26th. The event will take place at Pony Pasture again this year. Runners and walkers are welcome, as are strollers and on-leash dogs. The race is timed and all participants will receive a finishing medal.
