Groundbreaking today for Oak Grove apartment project

There will be a ceremonial groundbreaking today for the new development on the site of the former Oak Grove Elementary School at 2200 Ingram Avenue.
The new 4-story development will have 250 apartments and fifteen single-family dwellings, a swimming pool, electric vehicle charging stations, and a 2,500-square-foot versatile community hub for meetings and essential services for residents and neighbors.
After sitting vacant for more than a decade, the former school building was demolished earlier this year.
