Man shot last night on Halifax Avenue

According to police, officers responded to the 2400 block of Halifax Avenue in Richmond’s Southside at around 8:05 p.m. on Sunday, June 16 for a report of a shooting. When they got there, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
The nearby 1100 block of Richmond Highway is one of the 10 South Richmond “Hot Spots” identified by RPD in April slated for extra attention in order to curb gun violence.
A man was shot and killed in May about a half mile further south on the 1300 block of Overlook Street,
